Greetings,

I am one of the thousands of citizens in Bukit Beruntung, Rawang area who rely on bus transportation in order to travel to the nearest towns and we don’t have other mode of transportations. This has been taken advantage by the bus service provider, Metro-bus Transit by raising the bus fare drastically. Whereby from RM1.50 now have become RM2.00 and the fares becomes DOUBLE than the normal price during the festival days, like Hari Raya, Chinese New year and Deepavali. I found that this is and irresponsible and irrelevant because the service that has been provided is still the same, and nothing else has changed for them to raise extra fifty cents. Plus we are deeply concerned and unhappy with the service provided because of the broken seats, poor maintenance of air-Conditioner, driver fetching too many passengers by not following the limit regulations.

Apart from that, the bus drivers also not wearing their driving uniforms and drives dangerously as in over speeding on the road with very little concern about the passengers who are cramping inside the bus.

The 50 cent raise may look like a small amount to some, but we as citizens already carrying a lot of burden, facing financial problems, whereby our income is just enough to support our daily life which we are struggling to get by. So I, on behalf of thousands of citizens in Bukit Beruntung, Rawang begging the authorities to look into this matter seriously and take necessary action, because as I understand, these Transit providers has no rights to drastically raise the bus fares.

I am sincerely hoping to get a solution for this problem as soon as possible.
